Pride Scholarship Program

Thank you for your interest in the Pride of Dripping Springs 2024 Scholarship program! Please submit before the deadline on April 24, 2024, at 11:59pm.

We are very proud of our students who seek to attend an institute of higher learning and wish you the best of luck with your application.

Eligibility

In order to be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must meet all of the following:

  • Live within the DSISD jurisdiction; scholarship recipients must provide proof of residency. 

  • Be on track to graduate Spring of 2024, with intentions of starting college, university, or trade school in the fall. 

  • Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0

  • Submit the Required Items requested below on or before the application deadline

    • ​Completed application

    • Essays/video presentation

    • High school transcripts

    • Letters of recommendation

Announcement of Winners

Winners will be announced at the Senior Awards Ceremony to be held on TO BE DETERMINED in the DSHS auditorium - and we will also post the winners on the Pride of Dripping Springs social media page(s) & website(s). 

Required Information

 
  1. Essays / Video Presentations: Pick 2 of the 3 following questions to answer. On each you will need to either A) write an essay (500 – 1000 words) or B) make a video presentation (2 – 5 minutes long). Please write/speak from the heart and make this about you and your personal beliefs and actions. Upload your essays or videos where prompted, in the online application. Offline applications should include a USB drive containing any digital media being submitted.

    • What makes you uniquely YOU? 

    • How do you personally support Pride and/or Queer people

    • What do you do in your life to help others, support your community, and/or make a positive impact on the world around you?
       

  2. Letters of Recommendation: Please upload at least 3 letters of recommendation. These should be from people in your life who know you well. This can include but is not limited to: teacher, relative, neighbor, coworker, mentor, classmate, or friend. Ask them to explain why they feel you should be considered for this scholarship.

    Upload your letters of recommendation where prompted in the online application. Offline applications should include a USB drive containing any digital media being submitted.
     

  3. Copy of Transcripts: Please submit a legible copy of your transcripts.
